Suzanne J. Gray

Suzanne J. Gray, 76, of East New Market passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025 at her home. She was born in Vienna on June 10, 1948 and was a daughter of the late Joshua Gray and Sylvia Lewis Reid.

She graduated from North Dorchester High School class of 1966. In 1984, she graduated from Prince George's Community College where she received her Bachelor's Degree. Ms. Gray worked and retired from the Eastern Shore State Hospital Center where she was the Director of Medical Records. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. Ms. Gray was a past member of the American Legion Post #91.

She is survived by a daughter Denise P. Travis of East New Market, three grandchildren Shannon Truitt and husband James of East New Market, Corey Travis and wife Sara of Lusby, MD and Jessica Travis of East New Market, seven great grandchildren Rowan Cox, Xander Cox, Everly Truitt, Emma Travis, Connor Travis, Harper Travis and Logan Travis, a niece Monica Link and a nephew Michael O'Connor and a special friend Bill Hastings. Besides her parents, Ms. Gray is preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Gray O’Connor.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
