Vicki A. (Webb) Lewis

August 3, 1953 — October 15, 2023

Woolford

Vicki A. Lewis, age 70, of Woolford was called home to be with our Lord on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Rayland Acres, Trappe, MD.   She was born in Cambridge on August 3, 1953, to the late Vernon Webb, Sr. and Helen Langrall Webb.

Vicki graduated from Cambridge High School Class of 1971.  Vicki worked for Ames Department Store in retail before finding her true calling as a Customer Service Representative at Air Liquide until she retired.  She had a great eye for detail and was meticulously organized and made fast friends.  Vicki was a hard worker, and there was a time when you would have also found Vicki working at Madison Bay or helping out at the Woolford Store.

Vicki was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.  She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures:  gardening, spending time with her friends and family, cooking her favorite recipes, and spoiling her dachshunds, most recently Chloe.  In her early years she was an avid bowler at the Cambridge Bowling Alley with Brian in tow.  Summers were special as she looked forward to trips to Seacrets in Ocean City with her mom and Aunt Winkie.  In her later years if you were lucky enough, you could find Vicki gardening and she’d invite you in for a “favorite beverage” and enjoy the breeze coming off the water in the shade of her garage.   If the weather was nice, you may have caught Vicki with her girlfriends out to lunch, cruising the country roads taking in the sights, or even on an adventure to find the perfect piece of sea glass or driftwood.  One look at Vicki and you realized her smile was contagious and would light up a room and she never met a stranger.  She was an honest, “straight shooter,” a trait she was sure to pass on. Her legacy of love and laughter lives on in those that she knew, especially in Brian and JB.  So, when you hear…”Bless their heart,” or “They’re always trying to get  a piece of the pie,” smile and think of Vicki.

She is survived by a son Brian Lewis, a grandson J.B. Lewis, three brothers Barry Groves (Jeannie), Terry Groves (Dinah) and Vernon “Webbie” Webb, Jr. (Merry) several nieces and nephews, and special friends Elsie Lee (Danny), Dana Willis, Shelley Martinek (Howard), and Rhonda Fletcher (Jeff).  She is preceded in death by a son William “Willie” Clark, Jr.  The family is very grateful to her care givers and angels at Rayland Acres and Talbot Hospice.

A “Down Home” Celebration of Life (memorial and reception) will be held on November 4, 2023, 4:00-7:00PM at the East New Market Fire House, ENM, MD.  In lieu of flowers, as you feel led, please consider donations to Talbot Hospice, 586 Cynwood Dr, Easton, MD 21601 or Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Rd. Cambridge, MD 21613.  In the memo line simply include in memory of Vicki A Lewis.  God Bless
