Vickie L. Parks

Vickie Lynn Parks, 65, of Woolford passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Autumn Lake at Chesapeake Woods. She was born in Cambridge on August 7, 1958 and was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Parks and Elizabeth Jones Parks.

Vickie graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1976 and graduated from Salisbury State class of 1980. She worked for Andrew Miller and Associates in Cambridge and later with Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems in Easton. Vickie enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing and playing card games. 

She is survived by a sister Tracie Lynn Parks of Cambridge, an aunt Darlene Jones of Cambridge, a special friend Jesse Bartrum of Church Creek and several cousins. Beside her parents, Vickie is preceded in death by grandparents Margaret and Eugene Jones, an uncle Robert "Bobby" Jones and longtime companion Steve Mitchell. 

A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 10am at the Green Bank Cemetery (Jones Family Cemetery), Pig Neck Road, Cambridge, MD with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
