Wallace “Wally” E. Rumbley, Jr., 61, of Hebron passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Salisbury Rehab and Nursing Center. He was born in Cambridge on January 29, 1959 and was a son of the late Wallace E. Rumbley, Sr. and Sarah Taylor Rumbley.
Mr. Rumbley graduated from North Caroline High School class of 1979. He also attended Del Tech for auto mechanic training and later was an airplane mechanic. He worked for Preston Ford, and later was manager for the U5 Stores in Dorchester and Caroline Counties. He enjoyed working on cars and playing with his granddaughter.
He is survived by two sons Kenneth Rumbley (Samantha) of Hebron and Kevin Rumbley of Hebron, a granddaughter Amelia Rumbley of Hebron, a companion Deborah Weaver of Hebron, two sisters Faye Skipper of Trappe, and Cynthia Jolley (Dan) of Marietta, GA, his pet Sparky, two nieces Dina Skipper and Jessica Jolley, two nephews Brian Skipper and Chris Rumbley and numerous friends. Besides his parents, Mr. Rumbley is preceded in death by a brother Larry Rumbley.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
