Wayne Robinson

Wayne Robinson, 79, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury. He was born in Cambridge on May 25, 1947 and was a son of the late Medford and Betty Pritchett Ferguson.

Mr. Robinson graduated from South Dorchester High School class of 1965 and graduated Salisbury State College in 1969. On October 9, 1970, he married the former Thedus Bramble. He worked for Dorchester County Public Schools where he taught at all three high schools and retired in 1999. Mr. Robinson also worked part time for the Dorchester County Emergency Management and after his retirement from the public school system he became the Director of Emergency Management. Mr. Robinson enjoyed listening to the fire/police scanner and 1960's music. He was a member of Teacher's Association, Corvette Club, exempt member of Rescue Fire Company, Past Governor of the Moose Lodge, Sons of he American Legion and he attended Soul's Harbor Church of God.

He is survived by his wife Thedus Robinson of Cambridge, a son Adam Robinson and wife Christine of Payne Springs, TX, a granddaughter Claudia Robinson, a brother Jeffrey Robinson and wife Judy of Kingsport, TN, an aunt Dorothy "Dee" Adkins and several cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 11am at Souls Harbor Church of God in Cambridge with Pastor Tyler Collins officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Souls Harbor Church of God, 718 Peach Blossom Avenue, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
