William K. "Bill" Neild, Sr

William K. "Bill" Neild, Sr., 57, of Taylors Island passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Shock Trauma in Baltimore. He was born in Dorchester County on April 23, 1955 and was a son of John S. "Pat" Neild and Virginia Ann Jones Neild.

He graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1973. On October 24, 1981, he married the former Angel Jones. At the time of his passing, he was working for Cambridge International and had over 30 years of service. He also worked with his family on the Ridgeton Farm. Bill enjoyed hunting, gardening, spending time with his family and was also a Scout Master. At one time, he was the lead singer for the Southern Breeze Band. Bill was a member of the Taylors Island Volunteer Fire Company, serving as president, a member of the Grace Foundation, where he was serving on the board of trustees and Milton United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Angel Neild of Taylors Island, three children Shannon Chambers and husband Matthew of Bridgeville, DE, Charlotte Neild of Taylors Island and her twin brother William "Billy" Neild, Jr. and wife Rachel Ann Neild of Norfolk, VA, his parents John "Pat" Neild and Virginia Ann Neild of Cambridge, two brothers Rick Neild and wife Terry of Taylors Island and Tom Neild and wife Lisa of Hudson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Billy Neild, Charles Neild, Matthew Chambers, Marty Jones, Randy Jones and El Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Neild and Tom Neild.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 1p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Robert Kirkley officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Episcopal Churchyard in Taylors Island. Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service.
