George D. Baker

George D. Baker, 70, of Cambridge, MD passed away on April 2, 2022 with his family beside him.  He was born in Camden, NJ on May 11, 1951.  George graduated from Cherry Hill High School West, and in 1974 received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Wheeling West Virginia Jesuit College.  In the years to follow, he obtained two additional Masters Degrees in Maryland.

George was employed with Air Liquide of America, a specialty gas company, advancing through many positions from filling gas cylinders to a Regulator Specialist Engineer IV, where he was invited to the Inventor Recognition Program for his numerous regulator inventions.  You can find George Baker's patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the US Patent and Trade Mark Office (USPTO) and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.

George was preceded in death by his parents George M. and Margaret H. (Sweetie) Baker of Cambridge MD.  He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann, three sons, and a grandson.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 1 PM at Christ Episcopal Church in Cambridge, MD with Father Bernie Schroeder officiating.  Family will receive friends from 12 to 1 PM in the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 601 Church Street, Cambridge, MD, 21613, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
