Gillis S. Todd, Jr.

Gillis S. Todd, Jr., 68, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 at UMSMC at Cambridge. He was born in Cambridge on November 20, 1953 and was a son of the late Gillis S. Todd, Sr. and Maggie Moore Todd.

Gillis graduated from South Dorchester High School class of 1971. He was employed with Cambridge International for over 40 years and continued to work part time after he retired. Gillis loved the outdoors and enjoying fishing, crabbing, gardening and outdoor decorations. He also loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Beth Todd of Cambridge, two daughters Jennifer Mills and husband Michael of East New Market and Nicole Gore and husband Damon of Cambridge, four grandchildren Todd Mills (Lauren Merriken), Jordan Mills, Gage Gore and Emily Gore, a brother Robert Todd and wife Alice of Cambridge, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Todd is preceded in death by a brother Emerson Todd, Sr., a sister in law Shirley Todd and a nephew Emerson Todd, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 1 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev.'s George W. Wheatley, Jr. and David Wooten, Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 to 7 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
