Jeffery "Jeff" Thomas Harding, Sr.

Jeffery “Jeff” Thomas Harding, Sr., son of Thomas B. Harding, Jr. and Mildred F. Dodson-Phillips, was born on August 24, 1967, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He was called home on November 19, 2021.

Jeff was a former bricklayer for Allen Tyler & Sons, Cain’s, and McCready’s Masonry. He was also a former coach for Cambridge Little League and multiple different local organizations. Jeff was a former member of the Lakes & Straits Fire Company and Cambridge Rescue Fire Company, where he received Rookie of the Year in 1995. He received his education in Dorchester Count Public Schools and graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School, class of 1985. Jeff later pursued his licensing in masonry from Delaware Tech Trading School.

Jeff was a kind-hearted, intelligent, funny and hard-working man. He enjoyed coaching, teaching, working and spending time with his family. You would always see him either laying bricks, working out at the gym, or at the closest baseball field.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas B. Harding, Sr. and Nettie Harding, Lee Dodson, Sr. and Sophia Dodson, step-parents: Lorraine Harding, Jimmy “Pop” Phillips, and brother in law: Edward “Honey” Bramble.

He leaves behind his precious memories with his wife Renee Harding, his parents, Thomas B. Harding, Jr. and Mildred F. Dodson-Phillips, his brother Patrick Harding, his children; Jamie L. Harding, Jeffery T. Harding, Jr., Jessica L. Harding-Allen (Brinson Allen) and bonus son Jason H. Shorter, Jr. (Lynsey Brown), grandchildren James Willey, Jacquelyn Willey, and three bonus grandchildren, sister in law: Cheryl Bramble, brother in law Bryan Pritchett (Harriet); nephew: Jamie Bramble (Sherri Bramble), special cousin: Brian Dodson, special boss: Fred Trice, and a host of other relatives, friends and players.

Pallbearers will be Junior Harding, Jamie Harding, Jessie Harding-Allen, Jason Shorter, Jr., Brian Dodson and Fred Trice.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 1 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
