John R. Murphy

John R. Murphy, 72, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Mallard Bay Care Center. He was born in Easton on August 24, 1947 and was the son of the late Raymond and Dorothy Whitby Murphy.

Mr. Murphy attended schools in Easton. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Mr. Murphy had worked with Service Master and later at Allen Foods in Cordova. He enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by three brothers Herbie Murphy of Preston, Pinky Murphy of Easton and Raymond Murphy of Centreville, a close friend Norman Blackwell of Cambridge and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per John’s request, there will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
