Karen L. (Scott) Barnes

Karen Lee Barnes, 74, of Delmar, MD, formerly of Crisfield, MD, went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2022. Born on April 17, 1948 in Crisfield, MD she is predeceased by her parents Preston Scott Sr. and Louella (Beasley) Scott.

Karen spent most of her life working for John T. Handy Company as a line production worker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping at the local thrift stores. She was a very loyal and hardworking woman who will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her.

She is survived by her brothers Brian Scott of Salisbury, MD, Preston Scott, Jr. and wife Janice Scott of Salisbury, MD; her three children Ernest J. Barnes Sr. of Aurora, CO, Rachel (Jeremy) Oates of Capon Bridge, WV, Sarah A. Barnes and partner Harvey L. Linton III of Delmar, MD; grandchildren Ernest (Ernie) J. Barnes Jr., Preston Oates, Braiden Oates, and Cora Linton; also, her beloved cousins and several nieces, and nephews.
