Stephen E. Horner, Sr.

Hurlock

Stephen E. Horner, Sr., 73, of Hurlock passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. He was born in Cambridge February 5, 1948 and was a son of the late Lt. Col. George W. Horner, Jr. and Ella “Trissy” Tall Horner.

Mr. Horner graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1966. He served in the Army National Guard. On July 24, 1993, he married the former Franzeskia “Frankie” Jones, who passed away on October 13, 2019. Mr. Horner was a retired truck driver. After retirement, he and his late wife started a lawn care business. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and was a big NASCAR fan. Mr. Horner was a member of the Cambridge Moose.

He is survived by three sons Stephen Horner, Jr. and wife Jackie of Cambridge, Ethan Horner of Hurlock and Jeffrey Horner of Princess Anne, six grandchildren Michael Hartford, Stephen Horner, Nicholas Horner, Ella Horner, Hannah Horner, and Cameron Horner, and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Horner, Michael Hartford, Nick Horner, Bobby Walters, Matt Hubbard, and Ernie Wroten. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Legg and Pat Boyd.

A walk through visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 11 to 12 at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, followed by a graveside service at 1 pm at East New Market Cemetery with Pastor Joel Beiler officiating. Face mask and social distancing is required.
