Thomas Nathan Tyson

November 10, 1951 — April 20, 2020

Thomas N Tyson, 68 of Cambridge, Md. passed away peacefully at his home and went home to Heaven on Monday April 20, 2020.

Tom was born on November 10, 1951 to Larry and Mary Tyson and grew up on the water in Dundalk, Md.  He graduated from Patapsco High School and he attended Essex Community College where he would gladly tell you that he was the Captain of the golf team.  He finished his degree at the University of Maryland.  Tom went to work for the IRS and was transferred to Delaware and he decided to pursue an Accounting Degree at Salisbury State College.  He graduated from Salisbury State College, obtained his CPA license and worked for Twilley and Rommel in Salisbury, Md.  He then went to work at Wor-Wic Community College where he just celebrated his 31st year.

In October 1992 he married the love of his life Catherine A (Cammy) Mullaney Tyson.  Throughout their years together they have been surrounded by a wonderful family and so many wonderful friends.

Tom loved the Eastern Shore.  He enjoyed boating, gardening and playing golf.  He was an avid Ravens and Terps fan.  “He had the uncanny ability to uplift and bring a smile to the face of anyone he met. He would say that the movie is on play.  You can’t rewind and you don’t want to fast forward.”  Enjoy your life and Tom enjoyed every moment of his life.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Cammy, his brother John, his wonderful family-Marty, Jessica, Conor and Michael Mullaney and Rick, Marie, Sam, Zach, Katie and Josh Mullaney.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Donald Tyson.

Pallbearers will be Marty Mullaney, Conor Mullaney, Dennis Jones and Jeff Hubbard.

His funeral will be Monday, April 27, 2020 and will be live streamed on Thomas’ Funeral Home Facebook page at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Wor-Wic Community College Foundation, 32000 Campus Drive Salisbury, Md. 21804.
